How efficient and consistent are Rocklabs crushers?

Scott recently had the privilege of obtaining a comprehensive performance test report for our Boyd crusher and sample dividers. This test was conducted against one of our main Competing Crusher Machines (CCM) by
Professor Emeritus Richard Minnitt, a globally recognized expert in sample preparation, at an SGS laboratory in Perth, Australia. We believe that the report has provided valuable insights into our equipment's capabilities.

Key results:

  • Mid Boyd exhibited a faster average crushing rate on all percentages passed compared with the CCM machine
  • For the Boyd-LSD, a paired two-sample t-test on 24 samples showed sample masses of 350.56 g for LHS and 350.81 g for RHS, with precision rates of 1.15% and 1.11% respectively.

How the Boyd Elite rotary divider outperforms traditional splitting

We recently reviewed an experimental validation report conducted by Professor Emeritus Richard Minnitt, a globally recognized authority in the Theory of Sampling, which puts our Rocklabs Boyd Elite Rotary Sample Divider (RSD) to the test against the industry-standard riffle splitter. This study provides a data-driven look at how systematic mechanical splitting delivers the compositional representativeness required for high-stakes analytical work.
